Microsoft has quietly revealed new release windows for two upcoming Xbox Game Pass titles. While Xbox fans are already waiting for more September announcements, Xbox Game Pass new games 2026 plans have received another interesting update.
The two games are Hela: Of Mice & Magic and The Last Caretaker. They offer very different experiences, with one focusing on co-op adventure and the other bringing a darker science-fiction survival experience.
Hela: Of Mice & Magic Arrives December 1, 2026
The first game, Hela: Of Mice & Magic, will launch on December 1, 2026. The game puts players in the role of a brave little mouse and takes them into a colorful 3D adventure inspired by the landscapes of Northern Sweden.
Players will explore beautiful environments, solve puzzles and work together in co-op gameplay. The game also focuses on nature, friendship and a heartwarming story.
Its smaller-scale adventure style could make it a nice change of pace for Xbox Game Pass subscribers who want something relaxing rather than another huge action game.
The Last Caretaker Coming in Spring 2027
The second announcement is The Last Caretaker, which is scheduled to arrive in Spring 2027. It is a first-person survival-crafting game set in a future where Earth has been almost completely covered by water.
Players take control of the last active Caretaker, a machine created to help save humanity. The main goal is to recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex and prepare humanity’s next generation for a journey into space.
The game has already been available in Early Access on Steam since late 2025. It has received a Very Positive rating from more than 8,000 user reviews and has sold over 400,000 copies.
The Xbox version is expected to launch alongside the game’s full 1.0 release and will be available on Game Pass from day one.

These two announcements add even more excitement to Microsoft’s upcoming Game Pass lineup. September and October are already expected to bring several notable additions, while RuneScape: Dragonwilds is also among the titles currently listed as coming soon.
Interestingly, The Last Caretaker appears to be an Xbox console exclusive at launch, although its availability could change later.
With more announcements expected soon, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have plenty to watch. And considering how quickly the 2027 lineup is growing, Xbox fans may soon need a whole new list just to keep track of what’s coming.
